While many may not be great fans of Bluetooth headsets and many may not be big walk and talk guys, however, when it comes to Bluetooth speakers for the cars, it’s all together a different story. Particularly in a country like US where more and more hands-free mobile phone laws are enacted.
Well, catering to the needs of those who have to attend the calls while driving but couldn’t do that because of legal bondage or don’t like the Bluetooth headsets either, BlueAnt introduced S4 that it calls the first true hands-free, voice-controlled Bluetooth car speakerphone. BlueAnt car speakerphone features signature voice-activated technology to the vehicle that allows you to take calls without touching anything.
The device operates as per the voice commands and if someone else is calling you the device is programmed to read the caller’s name and ask whether you want to respond or not. And you can receive or reject the call by simply saying “Answer” and “Ignore” respectively.
Additionally, the S4 uses text-to-speech, or TTS, technology to accomplish this feat, and has the ample space to store up to 2,000 phonebook entries from each paired mobile phone. On the top of this, a partnership with Vlingo allows you hear SMS messages and even e-mail with supported BlackBerry and Android 2.0 smartphones.
As per company, the device has up to 20 hours talk time and 700 hours standby. It’ll be available at Best Buy beginning May 23 and at AT&T stores on June 6 for $99.99.
