After four years of designing and development, New Zealand’s Hulme has finally launched its Supercar named the “CanAm” after 1967 F1 champion Denny Hulme. Produced in a limited edition of just 20 cars, the mid-engined roadster is intended to run on both road and track. Presenting the rear wheel drive through a Quaife six-speed manual gearbox, the CanAm takes the braking system and safety aids from A.P. racing and Bosch respectively. Generating power from a LS7 V-8 engine, producing 600 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, the Supercar is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds and can reach the top speed of above 200mph. Potential buyers needs to submit fully refundable £10,000 (about $14,400) to get their name on the order list.
